Tip.특별전형 모집인원 축소에 따른 외고 지원 전략
2009학년도 외고 입시에서는 특별전형 모집인원이 대폭 감소됐다. 전년도 대비 941명 축소로 특별전형으로 1146명만을 뽑을 예정이다. 특별전형 내에 있던 세부 전형들 또한 1~3개 내외로 대폭 축소됐다. 대원외고의 경우 전년도에 있었던 영어능력우수자, 학교장추천자, 국제화전형 등을 폐지했다. 전년도 같았으면 특별전형으로 분산됐을 지원자들의 일반전형 쏠림 현상이 일어날 것으로 전망돼 일반전형의 경쟁이 더욱 치열해 질 것으로 보인다. 가고자 하는 외고를 조기에 결정하여 일반전형을 중심으로 준비에 들어가면 한결 수월하게 외고 입시를 준비할 수 있을 것이다.
